The 4th Annual Lux Afrique Polo Day 2022
The Lux Afrique Polo Day has been described as Europe’s premier African Polo event and will be returning in 2022 for its fourth year.
Taking place at the Hurtwood Park Polo Club, Surrey, on Saturday 30 July, this polo event promises to be a sport and fashion highlight on the sporting events calendar. The event is casually referenced as the ‘Black Ascot’ and will have four teams, of international polo players from African countries, competing across the day. Additionally, there will be a showcase of African fashion designs on display as well as 15 super cars on display including Lamborghinis, Rolls Royces and Ferraris.
There will also be musical entertainment provided by Shola Ama, Roger Samuels as well as the Pegasus Opera Company and more.
The Lux Afrique Polo Day also promises to be a foodies delight with African cuisine served by four chefs including the Master Chef semi-finalist, Victor Okunowo.
Furthermore, on the day, there will be a plethora of on-site food vendors to choose from such as Afromufasa, Eat of Eden and St Best Jamaican Cuisine.
Additionally, Dr Simi London will be available at the Lux Afrique Polo Day to take care of any health matters.

The VIP Ticket Holder (Platinum Club House Ticket) was an absolute waste of money.
I saw people having to be calling the waiters to serve them some food
( canape ) and Champagne, but the servers kept saying they will be back. But guess what, they kept taking the food to a specific selected table, and when someone asked why, the waitress mentioned they were been instructed to focus on the people from the media. ( MEDIA PEOPLE GET FREE TICKET )
Remember this ticket cost over almost $470 per person, and on the ticket it was advertised that champagne will be served to ticket holder as their drink of the day. ( NONE OF THIS WAS DONE )
They didn’t even serve any proper food, all they were taking around to people was canape ( didn’t see any adverticed “bolw of food” )
Mind you this same thing happened last year as well 2021, now history is repeating it self at 2022.
Here is what was advertised on the ticket :
Platinum Club House Ticket.
Ticket includes access to the Polo Club House area and on the lawn | Reserved front row seats at grandstand right in front centre of all the polo action | Champagne as your drink of choice for the day per glass | Unreserved seating | Access to shopping stands | Polo game and live performance |VIP hospitality lounge experience with luxurious seating, canape? service, bowl food inspired by Africa and gourmet grazing tables. | Enjoy a glass of premium Champagne, premium water and juice with a waiter service | VIP Free Parking | Including. ( MISS LEADING ADVERT )
My advice is people shouldn’t waste their money on the Platinum ticket, or gold ticket. Just get yourself the early bird cheap ticket for next time, then you can buy yourself a drink and meal there.
Also, it is only the pretty things you see on the media, however nobody could cover the story of the unhappy clients there. For me I met more than 25 people complaining about this event’s service this was 2022.
Last year I met more than 19 unhappy people there who complained about the POOR services they received despite paying for this.
I hope this will be worked on.
